Returning to HAL as a senior project engineer, he performed design studies of future jet trainers and combat aircraft for the late Sir Sydney Camm. A member of the Royal Aeronautical Society since 1963 and a Chartered Engineer, in 1968 he became the HSA Kingston design department representative in marketing the Harrier and Hawk. Following the formation of British Aerospace, he was appointed technical marketing advisor for the Kingston-Brough Division. In 1980 he resigned to concentrate on freelance writing and consultancy work.His interests include combat aircraft, military training aircraft, aircraft armament and anti-aircraft systems.
